The channelless method of building a heating main is the most cost-effective way of laying a pipeline. With this method, the construction of special structures for laying the pipeline is not required. The heating main is laid directly into the ground with a sand base at least 150 mm thick and sandy at least 150 mm above the jacket pipe.
Pipes insulated with polyurethane foam should be lowered into the trench smoothly, without jerks and impacts on the walls and bottom of channels and trenches on a specially prepared sandy base.
When welding individual sections of pipes, it is necessary to provide protection
protruding areas of foam from welding spatter using special screens.
A heat-shrinkable sleeve is installed near each pipe joint before the weld is made. At the same time, it must be ensured
the integrity of the protective shell of the coupling, to prevent its shrinkage before sealing the joint under the action of sunlight and external damage.
Interpipe joints are insulated using the supplied
joint sealing kits. Before pouring the PPU components, it is checked
tightness of the connection of the heat-shrinkable sleeve and the polyethylene sheath by crimping at a pressure of 0.5 bar for 5 minutes.
Before carrying out backfilling at the corners of rotation, in the area of movement of n-, Z-, L-shaped compensators, as well as in the area of the location of tee branches, expansion mats made of foamed polyethylene must be installed. The length of the lining zones with mats and their thickness depend on the magnitude of temperature elongations in the sections of the pipeline and are determined by the project.
After completion of the installation of the pipeline and SODK, carrying out acceptance hydraulic tests, a control reflectogram of the state of PPU insulation is taken, which is part of the as-built documentation.
